This is the fourth installment of Lungs and Phiik's Another Planet series. Existing in an era appropriately dubbed Neo New York, Lungs and Phiik tap into their Def Jux roots, creating a series of quirky, glitchy weirdo rap. On Another Planet 4, the two are yet again wielded with a set of beats by LoneSword (Lungs' producer moniker), crafting a record that tends to stay true to its name - rap that sounds like it would be heard through a deep, intergalactic space transmission. It's loud and in your face, with distorted samples and sparse drums, often creating an air for both Lungs and Phiik, as well as their features AKAI SOLO, Wavy Bagels, and Fatboi Sharif, to float freely on as they blend a mixture of fast paced, word-heavy raps with chilled out flows. Both artists spend the runtime displaying their talent and skill, elevating each other more and more until they've broken through the atmosphere to spit from light years away.
Both variants are pressed on 140-gram vinyl, housed in 24pt reverse board jackets. The entire record is produced by LoneSword. Front and back artwork designed by Chop the Head. Center labels and obi strip designed by J. Park. The music has been finessed for vinyl by Geng PTP.
